Division of Sport Studies
The Division of Sport Studies houses two program areas focused on the professional education of teachers (sport pedagogy) and sport managers (sport communication/administration). Faculty research in physical education focuses on expert teaching in sport and physical education, socialization of physical education teachers, multicultural and global aspects of physical education and sport, and motor functioning of individuals with disabilities. Research in sport management focuses on such topics as sport marketing, sport economics & finance, sport law, sport governance, sport communication, ethical issues, and socio-cultural aspects of sport.
