Division of Sport Studies - [ Sport Studies - Internships & Employment Resources ]
The internship experience is a key component of students' educational preparation for work in the sport industry. All students in the Sport Studies and Sport Administration programs must complete an internship prior to graduation. This internship may be completed with any organization in the sport industry in a field or position related to sport communication or administration. The work involved in an internship should approximate that of a full time position with the organization. Ideally, the internship will serve as a tool to help students progress in their chosen fields.

Also, visit the "Internship Center" located on the first floor of the McCarthy building. Here, you will find portfolios created by students who have completed their internships in recent years. These portfolios may be of assistance in generating ideas about potential internship sites and in helping students learn about the responsibilities and guidelines of the internship process.
