Brantley is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Exercise Science program. Originally from Alabama, he received a B.S. in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Montevallo before completing his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His Master’s thesis focused on vascular hemodynamic differences between younger and older women. Brantley is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as well as a certified exercise physiologist. His current research interests are cardiovascular and metabolic health benefits of exercise and physical activity assessment in people with disabilities.
