Clinical Exercise and Cardiovascular Research Laboratory

Clinical Exercise and Cardiovascular Research Laboratory

The Clinical Exercise and Cardiovascular Research Laboratory concentrates on advancing health-related research by investigating the interplay between human and exercise physiology, cardiovascular health and function. Our main interests are examining how tailored exercise programs impact the structure and function of the cardiorespiratory and vascular systems in clinical populations, people with disabilities and healthy individuals. We use non-invasive methodologies and state-of-the-art, participant-friendly equipment to ensure high-quality research.

Exploration of Cardiovascular Health and Health-related Fitness in Adults with Intellectual and developmental disabilities: A Pilot Study

Our research focuses on advancing health-related research and improving cardiovascular health and function in individuals with disabilities and healthy populations. Our broader research interests include examining how tailored exercise programs affect the structure and function of the cardiorespiratory and vascular systems. We are currently recruiting participants to examine cardiovascular health and health-related fitness in adults aged 18-65 years old with and without intellectual disabilities.

Effect of physical activity levels and sedentary time on cardiorespiratory fitness, vascular health, and endothelial function in middle-aged adults

Now recruiting participants

This ongoing study examines how physical activity and sedentary time influence cardiorespiratory fitness, vascular health, and endothelial function in middle-aged adults (40–65 years). We are recruiting adults who are apparently healthy and have been deemed fit by their physician to perform physical activity.

Participants receive free personalized feedback on their cardiorespiratory fitness (VO₂max), arterial stiffness and blood vessel function, and physical activity and sedentary time.
